I would say agreement, based on logic, of what things "seem" like, and what we can project as being both necessary and reasonable. Suggesting that either there is a God outside of the Universe, or a limit to an expanding Universe coming from nothing such as the Big Bang, are both bad Metaphysics. Good metaphysics I think keeps, or helps, you to not develop crazy theories that may have effective models but are still wrong, even if it is hard to determine that. Dark Matter, Dark Energy and the Big Bang are ad hoc failures because they follow the data blindly.
